Description
Lanesboro Arts in partnership with Sarah Peterson proudly presents the Autumn Songwriters Showcase! Join area singer-songwriters for a unique acoustic musical experience with the second Songwriters Showcase concert of 2025 at the St. Mane Theatre on Saturday, September 20th at 7 pm.
Tickets will be available online for $20. Get your tickets at https://sarahpetersonmusic.com/songwriter-showcases
Audience members will be immersed into this intimate concert setting, where four singer-songwriters will share their original songs, along with the inspirations and stories behind them! Each concert in this series is presented in a Nashville-style round robin format, which removes the usual distractions of a normal gig, and allows the audience to be drawn into the emotional heart of each song. The Autumn Songwriters Showcase will feature Tim & Julie Little, Mark Ross, Jeremey Jewell Tim & Julie Little and Sarah Peterson.
About the Artists:
Mark Ross
Americana artist Mark Ross is turning heads with his deeply personal lyrics and soaring melodies, drawing from influences like Gram Persons and the Eagles. Since debuting in 2019, he’s captivated fans across regional stages and Nashville songwriter rounds. In 2025, he’ll hit a major milestone: performing at We Fest. His latest single, Where the Devil Says Goodnight, marks a bold new chapter of emotional storytelling and rock-infused Americana.
Tim & Julie Little
Tim Little is a fingerstyle guitarist and singer who performs solo and with “TheHarmony Valley Boys” around Minneapolis and Southeast Minnesota. His wife Julie is a self-proclaimed word nerd whose writing has appeared in the Root River Current and Fillmore County Journal. It took Tim and Julie 20 years of marriage to realize that they had the makings of a perfect songwriter duo—Tim creating melodies and Julie crafting lyrics. Their music spans genres with themes of love, struggle, and playfulness. Together, they’ve written over 200 songs and self- produced two CDs, including “Root River,” which was made into a music video featured in the Root River Current.
Sarah Peterson
Sarah Peterson writes songs with a fearless heart and a voice that makes you feel seen. Rooted in the driftless hills of southeastern Minnesota, her music turns life’s quiet struggles into moments of shared grace. Her recent song collaboration “Heart of a Hero” was featured in the National Salute to America’s Heroes TV special, while “Together,” co-written with Malaysian artist Amrita Soon, found its way to the big screen in Worth the Wait—now streaming on Tubi and in theatres in Southeast Asia. Sarah also curates Songwriters Showcase events, weaving community together through story and song.
Sarah Peterson is a fiscal year 2025 recipient of a Creative Individuals grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
