Terje is the Director of Research of the Norwegian Emigrant Museum and International Coordinator of Crossings 200. He is the Professor of history at the Inland University of Applied Sciences, Hamar, Norway. He earned his PhD at the University of Oslo in migration and ethnic studies and has published articles and edited various books on the Norwegian emigrant experience in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Joranger has also been research associate on Professor Odd Lovoll’s Norwegian American Contemporary History Project at Saint Olaf College.
