About Us

The historic Sons of Norway Hall is the perfect venue for your next event! It seats 72 at 6' tables and 80 if using chairs only. The building has two bathrooms (one is ADA accessible), a newly remodeled catering kitchen, and supports ADA accessibility with a ramp and an ADA parking spot on Parkway Avenue. The space is a wonderful place for events, groups, memorial services, graduations, birthday parties, family reunions, and more! It is ideally located next to Sylvan Park and downtown Lanesboro. Call for rental availability and costs.

Since 1929, Lanesboro has its own Sons of Norway chapter called the Heimbygda (meaning home city) Lodge. Throughout the year, the lodge hosts programs that are typically held on the first Thursday of the month and some Saturdays. All are welcome, and programs are free and open to the public.

The mission of Sons of Norway is to promote and preserve the heritage of Norway and to celebrate our relationship with other Nordic countries. Anyone interested in Scandinavia's past, present or future will find these social meetings and programs enjoyable, educational, and enriching!
